May 18 to Aug 7. ERP job log.
The presses that lose the most time switching jobs
What it shows: The ERP shows how many times each press switched jobs over 12 weeks and how long it sat stopped for them.
Why it proves the point: Presses 7 and 12 each lost about twice the hours of a typical press, so faster job switches free the most time there.
From the plant's ERPERP job log
| Press | Job switches | Hours stopped to switch jobs |
|---|---|---|
| Press 12 | 41 | 48 hours |
| Press 7 | 37 | 43 hours |
| Each other press, on average | 19 | 24 hours |
