Capture your own regrind
This week
The biggest jobs are now sorted by whether their customer allows no reused plastic, some up to a limit, or any amount. The smaller jobs are next.
Checking the biggest jobs first means most of the plastic the plant buys is already sorted.
We read the ERP material records for the jobs checked so far. Most of the biggest jobs allow some reused plastic, among them the screw cap jobs on presses 9 and 10.
No scrap is reused yet, but the jobs that use most of the plastic are already checked.
Since last week: The check that had just started last week now covers the biggest jobs, which use most of the plastic.
Check the smaller jobs next, then pick the first presses to get a grinder.
