Capture your own regrind
This week
In their first full week, the grinders sent all the scrap from their presses back into the same jobs. Press 9 now mixes it in by weight, press 10 still by scoop.
Both grinders ran every shift, and the first weighing mixer was installed midweek.
We watched the presses with grinders on camera and read their ERP material records for the week. About 430 pounds of scrap went back into jobs instead of being sold off cheap.
The first presses reuse all their scrap, but the plant is still well short of the goal.
Since last week: Reuse grew now that the grinders ran all week, and last week's unweighed scoop mix is fixed on one press but not yet the other.
Install the second weighing mixer on arrival, then pick the next presses for grinders.
